Mudkip Trap

Hello everyone! Recently I've downloaded KG Chart, and I've been practicing with some sprites. However, I'd like to stitch this picture for a friend this Christmas, and I'm afraid I'm not quite experienced enough with the program to get a decent result. For some reason, I can't seem to get the cake to.. look like a cake. If someone could help me, that would be so great!

I'd like this to be.. 5"x7"? Larger is fine, too, if necessary. I can comfortably stitch on 22-count fabric, so the count doesn't matter too much to me. However many colors you need to make it look nice is fine as well. I do not need the background color either, I'm going to stitch on a light blue/gray aida. :)

Thank you!

I tried my hand at this, hope it works for you! It is 7" wide by 5" tall on 22 count with 13 colors, and feel free to adjust the pattern as needed.
