Sprite Stitch Board!

A coworker of mine is having a baby girl and I want to make something for the occasion. He and his wife are Zelda OoT fans and I am looking for ideas. I'm using 18ct aida, need ideas for images (no bigger than 80 x 80 give or take). Admittedly I was a LttP fan and only played OoT once.

I could make a pattern for "Zelda's Lullaby" if you like. I'm not sure if you're looking for something simple like that or something with sprites?

What I've been thinking is a Zelda version of the Mega Man wall hanging I did here but as a quilt.

9 squares each around 80 x 80, bordered. Looking for ideas for the squares. Sprites would be better but with it being a 3d game I'm going to have to find 2D varients.

I've been looking at the Ocarina of Time 2D sprites.

I'm in the middle of a big project at the moment and when I get to a good stopping point, I'll start laying this out.

The more I think about this project, the more I think it would be a cool idea to retell the story of Ocarina of Time through the cross stitch squares.

For the first squares I was thinking the Deku Tree.
I need to resize, crop, and clean up the image. I will be cropping it a bit more to get it in a 60 x 60 square. I am in the process of doing it, but it is a painful process. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I love the thought of using the Deku Tree :3
I wanted to see what it would look like so I took the Deku Tree from the original picture, cropped and converted it, and I don't think it looks bad. I didn't know if you'd be interested to see it so I decided to go ahead and include it in my post ^-^
