Mario Star for Xmas tree

Yesterday I had an idea for mi xmas tree and i need your help. I always put a little one in my bedroom for xmas but is so small that I have not found the star for it, so I thought to make a Mario Star. Maybe 6 cms high would be ok. If it looks good, I'm thinking to rescale for my xmas house tree.

I didn't find a better photo of my little tree, but here is it from last year:



Here's a star to have an idea, but it would look better if this would have a small shadow on a darker yellow and black borders



I'm using Aida 14ct fabric.

Okay so this one was a lot easier to get to the size needed, and I used KG Chart which the colors don't fully equal what they actually are, so I manually changed the color so when you have the threads they will look the way they're supposed to (basically use the threads it says since I made sure they were right)
