Can I get some help with this sword slashing Link?

I'd like this to be a medium size piece, no more than say 12" wide and not too crazy on the color scheme, but I want to preserve as much of the detail as possible.

I think what I need the most help with is sharpening the edges so there's not 10 colors to make a contour line.
