Fate of Atlantis - Nur-Ab-Sal

Post by Schutzenegger »

I told a friend I'd make something with Sophia's necklace from Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis.

I was thinking that it'd be cool to have it be two sided (in that I'd have two different pieces of cloth sewn together after I'd stitched them) with the normal Nur-Ab-Sal on one side, and the evil one on the other.

Here are the pictures:

The black one's cleaner than the other two, and I'm not sure if I want the added detail/corrosion on those two. But, I can't find an evil one like the black one.

Edit -
I'm thinking white cloth as well. And if you have any ideas on how to make this cooler, go ahead and share them.
I was thinking about 50 stitches tall or so
I stink with sizes and color counts. But I DO make a mean Macaroni & Cheese

Any ideas? Or should I be more specific?

When you say 50 stitches tall, do you mean just the face or the whole square of the image? Also, would you want the necklace style part in or leave it out? :D

Good point.

Now that I'm thinking about it more, I like the black background (awesome job with the evil face). When you get a new pack of size 14 aida cloth, about what size is one of those folded squares? It's about 80ish, right? I think that size would be good.
I'm having a hard time deciding if I want just the face, or the necklace included...

Internet High-5s to you

Well, making the pattern should be simple enough.
I need some more info though:
just so you know, 80 wide is 6 inches (15.5cm), is that ok?
With the necklace bit, the actual charm is about 35 across.
Colours about 4-5?
Is that all ok? I'll make it if it is.

Can I possibly suggest something though? 35 across is about 2.5 inches, which is charm sized. So you could make a charm out of it. The outline is symmetrical, so you can literately put one face behind the other (made from plastic canvas). Might be a cool idea...

Ooh, that is a pretty cool idea!
I like that. I kept thinking that it'd be cool to have something double sided so that it could be flipped around to be the angry Sal

I have recently learned that I SUCK at determining sizes. I frequently over-measure how much aida I need...
I shall let you determine something awesome...
