Wondering if anyone is able to help on this...
I've made a hat for my brother, which you may recognise from a certain tv show. I'm thinking about lining the hat to make it a bit warmer, and have absolutely no idea how to go about this! Has anyone got any tips or suggestions?
I realise the hat looks a bit small, but think that's because the pom pom is huge. I've tried it on, and it definately fits an adult sized head!

Re: Lining a hat?
One thing to note is that if you line it, unless you pick stretchy material, you will have to accept it will no longer stretch. So if your brother's head is bigger than yours, if you line it it may not fit. It should fit fine as is if it fits yours right now though.
I would actually suggest you go ask the folks at Ravelry.com as they're the experts on doing stuff with knitted/crocheted things that I know. I'm quite certain if you go there that you'll be able to find exactly the answer to your question.

I suggest using microfleece - it's super warm and rather stretchy. I can imagine ways to do this but nothing that I can easily describe, as Eliste said Ravelry is a much better resource for all knitted things!

Re: Lining a hat?
I have lined a hat similar in shape to this one. I used a t-shirt like material because it was cheap and stretchy, I think it worked well.
I mostly did it by hand, I made a band of fabric that was larger than it needed to be in every dimension, then I laid it inside the hat and sketched onto it to get the right shape for the ear flaps. Then I cut those out leaving about a quarter inch of slack to make the edges clean. Then I pinned it into place tucking the slack under to make nice edges and sewed it in.
Hope that helps, I can answer any other questions you have. Good luck
