Multiple Fandoms Amigurumi Dolls *Update 5*

Been away from crafting for a few months but starting to watch Doctor Who with the 9th Doctor recently, kick started my desire to craft again. And since I have a sci-fi/fantasy con called Balticon I'll be going to in May, I thought I'd make dolls that I could sell at the art show there. So without further ado, here's my first batch of dolls.

I feel I'm getting much more inventive about doing the details the more of these dolls I make ^_^. Sadly Nine doesn't have much to elaborate on costume wise so he looks a bit plain next to Ten. I gave him the Sonic Screwdriver that turned out best to make up for it. ;P Rose had no signature accessory so I gave lots of details on her hoodie to make up for it. It's hard to see in these pics, btu she has pockets (and a hood under all that hair XD).

But the Tardis...oomph, I thought it would be the death of me. I'm very picky about my details and while the design needs a bit of tweaking still, I am very happy with how the prototype turned out. The sound chip more then makes up for any issue I have with it though. You activate it by pressing the light on the top of the box, which causes it to play that wheezing/groaning noise it makes when it disappears/reappears. All lettering was either hand stitched or written on. No paper printouts for me. Like I said, love my details. ^_^

Oh I loove these! I actually just did a huge marathon of Seasons 1 to 4 this month, my first time watching the show. And I love ten's hair. It's so perfectly rumpled! I can't wait to see the rest, as well as the hp and firefly dolls

@Kareesh - Lol, I've had a lot of people on deviantart say the same. My roommate is thinking about hiding it so I can't sell it. ;P

@kuja.girl - ^_^ I love his ears too! Course I loved Nine just as much as Ten, it just makes me sad that people don't give his doll as much love since Ten has so many details by comparison...either that or people don't like Nine as much. Both options make me sad.

@ToastofDoom - I'm slowly working my way through season 3 right now (Yay Netflix! ^_^) but I have to wait for both of my friends to be home to watch an episode so it's slow going. It's nice to hear you like Ten's hair, I had a hell of a time styling and cutting it so I'm glad some people out there think it looks right. I should have Rose done this weekend, and Eleven early next week. I'll probably change the post title once I start on the non-Doctor Who dolls so watch out for that. ^_~

Awe, I live in Canada and none of the nuwho is on Netflix, so I have been watching them on the internet, which is pretty slow going, and the box sets are bloody expensive! I did buy season four though

@Toast of Doom - Wow, it's not available in Canada? Crap. I'm gonna have to have a conversation w/my fiancee before I move in with him about getting the series cause, they are REALLY expensive. O.O

@sfxbecks - While he's not the reason I watch it, Tennent and Ten is my favorite Doctor. So don't worry, I don't fault you ^_~. I liked Nine as well so Eleven is gonna have to work hard to win me over when I get that far.

I know but me having a soft spot for David made me watch Dr Who! When Matt took over I was a little...skeptical about him, and didnt think he could follow David...but he's a really good Dr and I love it now! Cant wait for the new series to start up again!! ^_^

Awe cute, love the new updates! And I definitely prefer Eleven with the fez. I just finished Season 5 on sunday, and it was brilliant, so Matt Smith has done a wonderful job of winning me over.
