Boots canvas tote bag

I did this for my niece who's b-day is coming up in 2 days. I finished just in time too. I made the pattern from an image on the www.
Here's the pattern link: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=2859

I used DMC Soluble Canvas and 2 strands of DMC floss. 3 strands would have been better coverage (I can see some blue in places), but I did Wubbzy with 3 strands and didn't like how it looked. I'm much happier with this one.

The bag came in a pack of 5 different colors for around $5 from Hobby Lobby. They seem perfect for stitching on. They're thick enough to be sturdy but not so thick that it's difficult to stitch on.

I might be doing another one soon with a Disney Princess.

Wow, that's so nice! I wish there were stores in the Netherlands that carried bags like that. We're way behind on hobby stores :(

Oh wow, that is such a lovely gift! And inspiring as well... but to agree with susanna, i'm in holland as well and haven't seen much of these things. I have some waste canvas and really want to try something like this, but I guess i'll try HEMA stuff (national store for household stuff like bags/clothes/etc...)

:hello:
I would definitely be interested. Can we get text along the lines of

"My Husband Leaves Me to Go Sailing and All I Get is this Lousy T-Shirt!"

Never thought of using dissolvable canvas before- but after seeing how good you're work is I'll definately be giving it a try! :mush
