I have lurked around this sight for the past year, since I started cross stitching. Figured I would start a post for my projects. I tend to make and give away a lot of stuff so it will be nice to have a place with everything together.
I started cross stitching in June of 2014 after I found a book called Twisted stitches.
This is my first project. It took two to three months. Not sure what I am going to do with it....even a year later.

My next project is still a work in progress. I just haven't found the vigor to finish it. I stopped so I could do some smaller projects for a few friends.

I am in the military and have been stationed in Korea for almost the past two years. I picked up cross stitching when my wife got pregnant and we couldn't go out drinking anymore. Attached are the two smaller projects I did for two buddies of mine who were leaving Korea at the end of 2014.
I had to scroll through a lot of Facebook posts to find these.

Then came the birth of my first son at the end of 2014.

I Decided to do a giraffe birth announcement because my wife crocheted a giraffe.

I love these!! They all look great, but I think I love the Pallet Town one most (what can I say, I'm a Pokémon fan). Although the 'look at all the f*s I don't give' is pretty great too

These are wonderful! I love the Twisted Stitches book too. I haven't stitched anything from it yet, but the kids with the balloons are on my wishlist. I hope you get back to it soon. I'd love to see it finished.

So this next piece I did because my friends loves owls and collects owl nic nacs. I saw the completed stitch and did a pattern in excel, and boy did that take some time. Thankfully my wife bought me a program for my birthday so I don't have to use excel anymore. It wasn't until after I finished the project that I found out that the saying was from a TV show called Twin Peaks.

I did this one while I was conducting an exercise out in the field, I am in the Army. I learned a lot about planning your boarders. Mainly, plan your boarders.

They all look great

I love Twisted Stitches - I stitched that skull a while ago, really should frame it. The gold tooth is a geat idea. I have also been thinking of trying the balloons, but possibly on a blue fabric.
