So, I've been working on this afghan for two winters now (since winter is the best time for making afghans) and just recently finished it!

Behold! The Willow Block Afghan!

I used Red Heart yarn in Real Teal, Dark Orchid, and Artist Print for the Variegated. The block design is called Willow and I got it from the book 200 Crochet Blocks for Blankets, Throws, and Afghans: Crochet Squares to Mix and Match The blocks are joined together with single crochets in the Artist Print and then I put a border around the whole thing that mimics the inner points and scallops section of the block. When I started I couldn't decide whether I wanted the Teal or Orchid to be the dominant color so I made the blocks alternate.[/color]

That looks great :) I love the colour choices. I also think you did a great job making it look nice and consistent - I'm making a simple granny square blanket right now, and it's so wonky it's not even funny :P So well done!

That is a lovely afghan. I only wish my crochet skills were as good! :D
