Filet Crochet Darth Vader

I have been working on so many different things, and never finishing any of them, than I went back and actually finished one!
I had started this at least 9 months ago, then set it aside for other exciting new projects. I recently learned how to do filet crochet (just the basics), and I came up with this Darth Vader design for my husband. He wants to frame it and put it on the wall somewhere. I like how it turned out!
Also, for those interested, I have the pattern available in my Etsy store as well.

Filet crochet is actually not all that difficult. I only know the basics, but looking at the more intricate items, it doesn't seem to be too hard. This one that I designed myself uses only chain stitch and double crochet, that's it.

Love it!

I want to try filet crochet, but I haven't found the right pattern :p

How long did it take to make that?

I love to crochet. Especially with the finer threads. I have found that I can't stand to crochet with yarn, it just seems to take forever. So instead I have a tub full of different crochet threads in different colors so that I can make dozens of doilies.

Yours is beautiful! I wish I had thought of something like that.

This is fantastic. It would be cool to make a set and they could be throw pillows or something XD
