Yeah it's sad she can't do it anymore - though she can still crochet/knit, so it's not all bad.
She lives out in the middle of the bush, and after the fire season we had this year, even though its not quite over, she's packed the essentials into the caravan, for the possibility of needing to get out, and fast, when she found all this, and she offered it to me.
At first I was like :O
Then I was like
I knew she had heaps of DMC... but the Krenik.. I think my jaw fell off when I saw them. This stuff is sooooo pretty, and looks like it'd be *nice* to stitch with (looking at you, DMC...) but i'm scared to do anything with it for fear of wasting it!
That's not a bad idea, Bex - I have a feeling that the skeins i've got are the commoner colours, though. :/ still, it never hurts to go look.

Started on the last page, and have a long weekend coming up, so hopefully i'll get a nice chunk done.
I've been shouted a return flight over for my mums birthday, as a surprise (though i've an inkling she's in on it) so I can give it to her personally Probably pack it into my luggage, i've had framed things survive nicely in there before - it was the carry on that got broken, ironically. So 10 days in civilization and able to get some tapestry stuff and waste canvas and not have to ship it in from the US! 
Started on the last page, and have a long weekend coming up, so hopefully i'll get a nice chunk done.
