I love your painted aida projects! I noticed you put gridlines (pencil or water-soluble?) on this project, do you just handwash them off when you're done like regular aida? Also, would you be willing to share the pattern for grumpy cat? He's adorable, haha.

Thanks! I've been playing with the amount of fabric medium needed to get the paint to soak in enough to be able to put gridlines on - mass screwing up if I dont!
And yep, I just rinse it off, after.
I didn't use a pattern for GC, though i'll dig up the peice and see if I can make a pattern for you. Can't remember what colours I used, though.

Haven't managed to get around to patterning yet, but here's an update of the unicorn butt, and i'll be disappearing again for a few days, thanks to the new Sims stuff pack. *regresses to the 80s*

I'll try to get it patterned sometime in the next few days.

So, my computer blew up a bit over a week ago. It was about 9 years old - not bad for a laptop!
I'm on the fiancee's PC for a few minutes to update this, hopefully i'll know if I can get a new computer tomorrow - waiting on the bank to approve/reject my begging

I finished the Grumpy Cat head pattern - the colours are estimates, I really can't remember what colours I used.

And some progress on the unicorn!
I finished the first little page, i'll leave the beading etc until the whole thing is done, and started a metallic colour on the second page.
This was... tedious.

Once that was done, and the fiancee's grandmas went home (down from the tropics for a week, it was good to see her!) I started on another colour. it's about half done of the total on this page (if that makes sense)

He's got a heap of spitfire books, and that large zepp peice, so why not a lancaster! Kinda offtopic: Those things are beyond enormous irl - and they're tiny compared to today's planes. the mind boggles. Still wish i'd asked if I could clamber inside it, I reckon the dude at the aircraft museum would have let me!

GOOD NEWS, EVERYONE!
My loan was approved today, and my shiny new computer is in the shop being built! I only had a couple of changes from the base they offered - more HDD space, a bigger dedicated graphics, and extra RAM. They say it should be ready to pick up tomorrow afternoon -

So, i've taken a little break (and stolen fiancee's tiny netbook to post this lol) and am whipping up a few pokemon taggie things to go onto the new cords - a Pikachu for the new monitor, a Rotom for the tower, and an Exploud for the speakers. I'll post pics when I've done them!
