Feels like it's been so long!
Had lost my motivation for a bit and then I got busy with work (yay for working retail over the holidays).
But I finally finished the fifth page~

And this one isn't one I worked on, but I just had to share it. My brother had been working on a piece for me since 2008. Always telling me that whenever he finished it, I'd get it for my birthday or Christmas that year. And guess what was under my tree this last Christmas <3

That's a good brother.

That wizard piece is amazing, and gigantic. Though your Captain America is HUGE too. I couldn't stand to do large color blocks like that. Love the updates though!

Love that wizard and dragon piece. I think I used to have a jigsaw with a very similar image!

Your Captain America is coming along nicely too - keep up the good work!

Heyy,

I've lurked on these forums for a while, but since I've decided to use a pattern from here it seemed the decent thing to do was to sign up :)

I'm about to start Captain America and just wondered if you'd gone with the 8 colour or 16 colour version? I also read somewhere to check the colours when using some of the pattern software - did you find the DMC numbers were ok? It's the first time I've used patterns generated this way so would appreciate any advice :)

Your progress so far is amazing! The scale of some of the projects on these boards is seriously impressive. I'm really looking forward to starting one myself

@lpgeorge: He has his moments xD
But yeah...the large blocks is why I'm working on Captain before I commit to a lot of these other larger ones I nabbed to do.

I went for the 8 color one.
As for colors, I actually didn't check them /sweatdrop
I'm still kind of new to all this myself.
But maybe the 16 color might be better? I'm already so far into it that I don't want to have to start all over; but I did notice that the rays behind Captain and Captain's skin tone are the same color in the 8 piece, so there is that part right to the right of his collar where the ray and his neck just mesh together. Also, not that this one is too big of an issue for me, but one of the planes for the 8 color piece was written down as the same blue as the background. It's like only the wingtip, but considering the other planes are green....
Otherwise I haven't seen anything major you know?

Can't wait to see your progress with him either ^^

I was contemplating the 16 colour one, hopefully not biting off more than I can chew. I used to cross stitch a lot, but it's been years - a bit like riding a bike though :)

I will see how I go with the colours and report back - happy stitching :D

Well, at least you're trying with a relatively small color number to get back in the swing of things.

You too~
Love your profile icon btw. Bummed that I'll be missing tonight's episode due to work.

Yeah, the relative simplicity colour-wise is what made me decide this was the project to start with.

Thanks! I love Peggy :) looking forward to a new ep after a couple of weeks
