Thanks Pyper It looks so.. pastelly and bright against the dark green in person, though! I know it's only because there's a few colours on it still, and it'll look better soon, though.

I've also managed to have a skein of floss just.. disappear. it's the water colour that I've done under the flower.. it was next to the computer yesterday, when I put tools down, and wasn't there this morning. very odd. The only think I can think of is the cat's made off with it.

P.S. My money is on your cat being the thief, my cat gets very jealous because I'm always "petting" my cross stitch projects.

My kitten likes to take a bobbin of thread and roll it around in cat hair, rendering it completely unusable. Hopefully you can find and salvage yours.

I reckon you are both right though - my bet's on the cat. He's a medium hair, but has super fluffy and dense fur.. coming into summer here, and he's a moulting furstorm. As much as I lintroller and pick out fur.. my brother's going to be having a slightly furry fish. :/

(Or i've managed to be super smart and thrown it out with the rest of my thread ends.. )

Oh, most often! Usually it's my scissors, but sometimes it's a needle! It's a mad panic to find the needle before I sit down again but 9 times out of 10 I've forgotten that I haven't even cut it off from the floss and it's still dangling from the fabric!

Lol oh I've done that so many times as well! It's kinda embarrassing

Ive done all the shadow and the highlights for the flower. Off to bed now, but I do need to decide wether to finish the flower or the water spray next. With the fish ill probably work from darkest to lightest, to help the highlights pop a bit more.

So very close to finishing the last bit of spray, should have it done tonight. Would have had it done already, and finishing the flower, but I was assisted in early awakening via cat bum, at sparrow fart, and then got a killer headache, had a nap that fixed it, and then the fiancée came home with the new sims expansion.

Honestly I'm surprised I've gotten as much done as I have!
