Rather Large Wizard of Oz WIP

Post by Rumelygirl »

I've been working on this stitch off and on for the last couple years. It's been slow going because I've been doing a large amount of knitting. Lucky for the stitch, knitting is getting too expensive, so I'm off the yarn for now.

The finished product will be 21 x 11 1/8 inches on 25 count linen. I believe there's something like 150 colours in the pattern. I can say with confidence that by the time I'm done with this I'm going to hate all shades of blue.

I imagine I'll probably do a couple small sprites to break things up a bit and give me some nice bright colours!

Looovvveee their work.... so long to do though =(

I have one of their 'quick stitch' ones (QS Polar Bear Angel) to do and about 4 others I really want to do..... Doubt I will get through them all.... Ever lol

(Just had to restart the quick stitch due to a serious issue with it.... Hadn't done much... but enough)

Ya, there's a steam punk fairy I want to do some day, but yes, FOOOOOOOORRRRRREEEEVVVVAAAAAARRRRR...

Anywho... UPDATE! Crappy thing about something that doesn't have distinct outlines is that you can't really identify anything unless there's a bunch in an area. That being said, I spy with my little eye a Munchkin hat!

What is that you're using to mark out the grid? That would make my life soooo much easier! I'm forever mis-counting just that ONE that throws the whole thing out!

Actually, I'm just using gel pens that I got from the dollar store. I've read on here that there is a water soluble pen from craft stores that is good for gridding things out.

Although, be careful when marking cause it's still possible to get yourself just thwt one line out. That happened for me when I did this one. :cray:
