Wedding Cross Stitch

I made a cross stitch as a wedding gift for a good friend last month. I want to say I worked on it for a little over a month. I got the pattern from a Vanessa-Ann cross stitch book. I modified the colors to make it more modern. I bought the matte and open back frame at Hobby Lobby for around $20 all together.

I was super excited with the results and when my friend opened it after the wedding she loved it too! She can't wait to hang it up in her new home.

The only regret I have is not letting Hobby Lobby frame it. My mom and I worked at framing it for a few hours and it did not display my work as well as I would've liked it to. You can't see it in the picture, but if you look at it at an angle, you can see some of the hot glue...Oh well. I know next time to let Hobby Lobby frame it for $10.

I love this, my parents still have the cross stitch that a friend made for them when they got married (25 years ago!)
