Portal 2 Life Sized W. S. Cube. (WIP. Updated: 4/23)

Post by Turqoizyoshi »

I'M baaaaack~
With a project I've been working on for months!
As I, and dozens of you, eagerly await Portal 2, i have a huge craft im working on. It's 20" x 20" x 20" without bevels, so far it weighs only a little, and it opens up.
Materials: construction and bevels, Foam core board. Skin: two brands of artist paper.

Those white spaces? Going to cut them out, place acrylic sheets, then place LED panels behind, for the orange glow effect. I'm excited!
Please comment. No freeloaders! :3

Looking awesome so far. Sadly, I have never played Portal, although I really want to. My list of games-I-would-like-to-play-if-I-only-had-the-time list is waaaaay too long right now. :(

June List
- Finish Little Nemo square
- Frame Weather Graph

Awww~. I set aside enough money for three months so I can get portal 2 XD. On another note, I found a site with LED panels and acrylic sheets cheap, so this will be finished before the end of this year (I hope  )

Ah, uh, not quite. You're thinking of the Weighted Companion cube n_n
Neither in Portal 1 or 2 does the heart light up, though. It's going to look like this:

In orange only. I take no credit for the video.

Well. It's done!
Almost....
I've placed every single bevel, lage and small, on my cube.
It will be a long while before I can buy and install the LED lghts and acrylic panels, and light this up like a locked-on turret. :P
Pictures sooooon~
