That is really good cross stitch of link. I have some zelda cross stitches I was going to post on here. I am trying to get the last one done. I did a big picture of link holding shield and it is of him from head to toe.

  2. Wow, that looks really great.

  3. That looks more like a painting than a cross stitch. o.O Unbelievable!

We are completely redoing my son’s room in Nintendo. Where can I get these patterns of Link and some of the other characters? I am new to Cross Stich, but I am ready to learn. I would appreciate any info you have.

    Thanx,

  5. Sweet bajeebus. Do you know what it feels like to have all of your high-school fangirlism slam itself against the inside of your head in an attempt to get to a computer screen?

    Ow.

Totally amazing cross stitch. The shading is amazing.

  6. nintendomom – http://www.spritestitch.com/?cat=3 are all of the patterns that I have made. If you’re looking for something in particular, feel free to ask.

  7. Wow! I LOVE this one. I think I am going to spend the next 20 years doing all the cross stitch ideas this website has given me, lol

That is amazing…Is there any way that I can get this pattern? I would love to make it for my boyfriend.

  9. Thanks for all the great remarks, everyone!

For those interested, I used PC Stitch to make the pattern, and I want to say that the image was maybe off of IGN…I know it had a watermark I had to sorta make go away as I was stitching in the bottom right hand corner…and this picture was obviously taken before I cleaned the stitching up and framed it. It was 75 colors, and I want to say like 18 different shades of green. I did this one in 2004 (kept my hands busy while I watched the Olympics that year).

A few more questions…How big is it? And what count aida did you use? Thanks for replying.

  11. I always use 14 count because I think it’s easier to see where I’m going…

This one is just a bit bigger than a 5″ x 7″. Another tip that I have found is great for those of you that have trouble with these big projects…

I make my pattern and print it in color with symbols in PC stitch. I also print it twice, right away, one in Portrait and one in Landscape. Then, when I get to the edge between one page and another, I switch to the landscape print out, then back to portrait when I get over to the edge side of it. Then, I never have a time where I’m trying to look at two pages at once.

I use a magnetic board and two cheap black magnetic strips to hold my pages in place…that keeps them flat, and I use the strips that are holding the paper to the board to also keep which row I’m working on straight.
