For the past 11 weeks I have been taking book binding classes in San Francisco, and I think that yesterday it totally paid off!!!
This is the first book that I have ever made with leather as a binding and casing material. It is also the first time that I have ever tooled leather (a.k.a. made the fancy designs). I am so happy with how it turned out, I cant believe it worked!!! I had spent 2 hours prepping my leather last week only to have torn a huge hole in the center on the very last pass of the knife, so I had to start from scratch again 
, but I'm soooo glad I did. In total this book took about 20 some hours to make from beginning to end. 
Oh and I also made the other book in the first pic!
