...I have not taken care of join requests for the wiki in a long while... People randomly ask to join without knowing what it is... and well, I have over 100 to reject now. So if you applied (and passed) but didn't get approved I may have accidently deleted the request. Please reapply and if possible put a note that you are a board member. Please also give me your board username if it's not the same as the wiki user name in the request to join.

EDIT: this change is probably long overdue, but I've changed is so people can no longer request to join. Instead you can be invited or use an invite code. I'll be editing the instructions in the 1st post to reflect this. So if I missed you, send me a PM with your wiki user name.

spritestitch.wikispaces.com is currently not categorized as an education wiki and it is on our free plan. In order for it to remain active, it must be categorized as an education wiki or upgraded.

So this means that we either find another free wiki site to set up on (I have HTML, PDF and WikiText backups of the site) or we try to find some other way of searching for patterns on the forum (Some kind of tag system?). We have a month to sort something out before the wiki is deleted. I don't think I'll be setting this one up, I just don't have the time or the inclination to run another one. I'll make the back up files available to whomever wants them.

I just read that email too. I'm assuming we can't categorise it as educational. So what can we do? It's clear we need something, and quickly.

I think what we need is something for the forum that will allow us to search for patterns better - some kind of tag plug-in perhaps? We would have to make sure that only posts with patterns in them actually get tagged otherwise what's the point? I don't know if this is possible or workable but it's one idea.

Since this thread went cold, I started a new pattern wiki: http://spritestitch.wikia.com/

I have started working on a list of patterns that were in the old wiki, so others can help convert them to new wiki pages. It does take some time for me to compile the details for these though, so unless this is useful, I'll just continue creating the actual new pages rather than the list of pages to create. If you would like to help, check out the how-to post, and grab rows from the top of the list I posted above. If these pages get made, I'll keep working on this list. Otherwise, I'll keep cranking through pages

Can I ask what we are supposed to do with the rows that do not have a link or info, just the title? Seems simple enough, will try and hash out a few tomorrow.

The unlinked ones are more complicated posts; either they need to be split into several pages, or combined into one, and it would be easier for me to take care of them than to split out all the details and changes.

I'm going out of town this weekend, so I may not be able to add more links/details for a few days. I really appreciate all of your help, and I'll get back on it as soon as I can!
