You can download games that play on simulators on the computer. I have one for to play SNES on the computer, and just use the keyboards as normal buttons. You can get them for anything from NES to Playstation1. My other half is a die hard fan of Final Fantasy 8 so he has like...three copies on the computer (two which are Roms) and a handful of the original copyDragoniron7 wrote:Oh yea....what is ROM and stuff

I can't speak for Johloh, and this is just in case, but I don't want anyone to link to any ROM sites. I've played them as well, and feel free to talk about them, but I'll delete any links I see unless Johloh disagrees. (Yeah, I get to flex my moderator muscles for once. Bwahahahahaha! Bow before my powers of moderation!)Dragoniron7 wrote:Oh yea....what is ROM and stuff

A ROM is basically a copy of a computer game that you can play on your pc via an emulator of whatever computer system the game was made for. It's illegal in most countries, as you aren't allowed to make back-up copies of your video games. Wikipedia!: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ROM_image

Yeah, like I said, back on NSider any Rom discussion was deleted right away, so I'd rather not bring it up here.Servotron wrote:I can't speak for Johloh, and this is just in case, but I don't want anyone to link to any ROM sites. If people want me to get the Mario Advance 4 maps I'll get them, but beyond that, I'm gonna try and refrain from discussing it.

Re: Super Mario 3 World 2 (Work In Progress)
I found an interesting sheet that involves the maps as portrayed in the end-game credits...

These could potentially make great little samplers.
I considered doing Giant Land myself before posting, but then realized I'd never get around to it. -_-;

Re: Super Mario 3 World 2 (Work In Progress)
So I think I'm gonna break my silence on Roms a little bit.
I tried getting the Mario Advance 4 Rom to take screenshots of the maps, however, that game is ESA protected, so there's no working Rom out there that will let it run on an emulator. Getting the screenshots will be pretty difficult, but if someone knows of a way to hook up a GBA to a laptop and take screenshots through that, please tell me so I can try it, because I have the actual cartridge.
Also, new picture in a minute
