Amigurumi Mario Mushroom

I wanted to post a picture of the little Mario Mushroom I finished the other night. Surprisingly, the little guy took many an attempt to get right (I have 5 or 6 others in various stages of completion!) but finally I got one that looked good! It's Wolfdreamers' pattern (over here http://wolfdreamer-oth.blogspot.com.au/ ... rooms.html ) but I added another row of white to the stump (?) and made the spots bigger. I hope you all like, and excuse the dodgy light!

I can't crochet to save my life. Unless it depends on being able to make unevenly tensioned, unevenly shaped blobs. That's a skill, right?

Thanks arkani! He's only little, about 3-4 inches tall. I only learned to crochet a few months ago so I could make amigurumi, these mushrooms in particular. And you could make monsters with your blobs, whack some googly eyes on them and I'm sure they'd be adorable!

Hum... I can't remember, but I think it was mostly acrylic, and maybe 25-30% wool...

I'm not good at this kind of stuff, i'm better at flatter stuff like blankets and mobile/kindle/tablet covers.
