Dost thou wish to continue thy quest?

Post by benjibot »

I've completed it! Every monster from Dragon Warrior in cross stitch form! 40 monsters in all! From the lowly Slime to the mightiest Red Dragon!

(Now to go back and get nicer photos. I just figured out on the last one how to get a nicer shot in daylight. The auto settings on the little point & shoot pale in comparison to the manual. And I still don't really know what I'm doing.)

Oh, I nearly forgot: they're all posted on my personal site and I've a special page for the lot of them. Each one has the floss list I'd used. I might use slightly different ones today. Those were before I got a stitching application.

Wow.

That's amazing, awesome job! You must have a lot of patience to sit and do all of those

This is utterly amazing! Dragon Warrior was one of my favorite games! I am absolutely blown away. After you wash, iron, and frame them, take another picture for us please!

That's crazy! I am in shock of how long that must have taken and how great they all look. Kudos.

I'll definitely post beter pictures. I swear they looked fine at the time, but in a big group some of the shots look awful. I've already washed and ironed the entire set of them. I'm going to start getting nicer shots as soon I can figure out a way to get my little lightbox fitted to photograph flat objects.

I don't know that I'm going to frame them. Even with the cheapest frames that's going to be a significant expense. Plus, I don't have enough wall in my apartment (and likely won't for the forseeable future) to display them. The plan is to finally get my etsy shop set up... maybe.

booo! :tomato:

I'm sure we can come up with a way to display, I think itd be a same to sell them...unless you sold them all as a single set. there's gotta be a creative way to display these that doesnt involve each one being in a single frame...

brainstorm! :help:

Well I have seen frames that allow for four different images in them. Maybe if you can find a frame at the right size you can put four in each one and make it a bit easier that way
