Cross-Stitching on a Towel

Post by Lalina »

I've been struggling for the past few days to finish a bit of embroidery on a hand towel. The problem is that the towel is so thick that I cannot put it in a hoop. Trying to stitch onto a towel is a lot harder than regular stitching; having to do it by hand means that I need to put in a little more effort to get my needle through the fabric.

Today, I pretty much accepted the fact that I was not going to be able to mail this person's gift on time... and then I found the old Q-snap frame I had abandoned. It is a close fit but Q-snaps can hold towels in their frames! Stitching on the towel is still difficult but the frame has made it So much easier.

I just wanted to share this bit of info here in case anyone else likes to stitch on fabrics that are pretty thick. I don't even like Q-snaps normally and I am loving this thing right now
