changing fabric of a pattern?

im looking at several patterns I want to do(so many! and so many are out of my price range lol)....but I noticed one I want to do on 14ct aida, but ive got to wondering if the pattern would be better on evenweave since ive heard the stitches look nicer on it(ive never used it before)...if I want to change it up how do I go about changing the pattern width/length for it? is there a way without having a pattern maker program??

this is the pattern I want to make since dr who is my fav show and my fav artwork is starry night so I thought it would be perfect

Best thing to do, which is quick and easy (especially with a calculator!) is to divide your width or length by the count of material.

For example, our charity squares are 96x96 on 16ct.
96 / 16 = 6
So 96 stitches on 16ct is 6" (or thereabouts, depending on the quality of the material)

Another example would be 100 x 100 on 22ct.
100 / 22 = 4.545454545454545
So 100 stitches on 22ct is 4.54"
