Cutting perforated plastic?
I've got some perforated plastic that I plan to use to make keychains, but... I'm not sure what the best way to cut it is. Should I use a pair of scissors, or would it be better to use a utility knife?

I cut it with scissors, but I've found it works out better to cut it before I stitch so I don't risk snipping any of the threads.

I cut it with scissors, I feel there's a bit more control using them than a knife.
I do the opposite! I cut it after I stitchfunkymonkey wrote:I cut it with scissors, but I've found it works out better to cut it before I stitch so I don't risk snipping any of the threads.

I cut after I stitch, too. I use a small pair of general-purpose scissors, but now it occurs to me how foolish I was to not consider a craft knife, especially considering I'm a papercrafter who cuts complex shapes out of flat sheets with a craft knife because scissors are so imprecise.

I tend to cut with utility scissors, but then I take my Xacto knife to it to take off the excess bumps.

Thanks for the help, everyone! Since scissors are popular, I'll use them. Saves me from having to dig out the utility knife and mat anyway.

Re: Cutting perforated plastic?
I have used scissors and a Xacto blade to cut out my stuff on the perforated plastic and personally I like the knife better I feel like i have a little bit more control. I cut mine out after i stitch.
