It means count or the number of stitches of that particular colour.

I love this and i want to make it for my brother for xmas. i have so many questions but my mom cant answer them will you help me?

I might start this after I finish my SMB 3 - World 1 stitching, this is amazing! And not even that big, would have guessed it to be bigger than 35x35 cm...
Now only checking to see if I have enough of the thread-colors at home.

I have no idea how much thread of each color to buy, tthe software says to use black aida and my work only sells 14ct black aida so would that change the dimensions or size ifi bought that instead of 18 ct.

You don't need to use black aida, I used 18 count white aida. As for the thread, as I was working on it, I worked out roughly that it was 1 skein of thread for every 2500 stitches. So for the clouds, for example, I think I need about 4 skeins of thread.

I'm about to begin this project but I have a quick question for you all. I'm going to use 16 count Aida. Should I use 2 or 3 threads of floss?
