I get my Perler bead supplies mostly online. The only place that I can go to for Perler products is Michael's Crafts, and they don't have much. I do get the occasional peg board and set of tweezers there. They sell mixed big buckets and a Pet Mix that I use in a pinch. The rest I get from http://www.perlerbeads.com, Callahan13 on Ebay, http://www.bluendash.com, and/or http://www.hamabeads.com. Callahan13 has limited Hama and all the Perler colors except for transparent turquoise. BlueNDash gives away beads with each order.

I get a lot of my floss from garage sales. There's not much room for choice, but it's hard to beat the prices!

I agree with that. When I first started getting serious about stitching I went to a car boot sales and found a box of anchor threads for a £5 and 2 frames for stitching for £5 too. That was the best start I could have asked for I think. There were about 100 threads in the box. Now I've errr.... a lot more. I've got a secound box which is full and I'm looking to get another box soon.Imaginary Friend Boy wrote:I get a lot of my floss from garage sales. You can't beat a good second hand sale that's for sure. Saying that I get some of my supplies from ebay. I have to do a lot of searching though. I do love a bargain.

it seems that every time i see thread at garage sales, they are missing there numbers.....and thus useless to me as i like to stick to the "official patterns" most of the time

I'm in Canada and the Michaels I go to has excellent selection and a lot of accessories and such.
But I get most of my thread off eBay in giant lots so trips to Michaels are getting fewer.

They've got all the DMC thread I need, scissors, needles, even some fabric, though now that I do big projects, their's isn't good enough for me. And their prices are reasonably cheap too. I'm not too sure if there are Michael's in Canada though >.>

Re: Where do you get your supplies?
I usually go to Michael's Craft Store for any of my supplies. They have a pretty big selection, and also have a very extensive web site.
http://www.michaels.com
They also offer 40 % off coupons through e-mail, which is quite a plus!

I don't think I've ever paid full price for anything.
Makes me wonder what the mark up is...
