Just spamming up the forum some, don't mind me
I was given a heap of bookmark aida, metres and metres of it actually. But I'd like to know, when you do bookmarks, what do you do with the back? Do you just leave it bare? I'm not sure my neatness would stand up to close scrutiny like that...
Is there anything else you can do with that stuff? I know you can stitch it onto towels and such as banding. Any other suggestions?

Re: Finishing bookmarks
Having JUST finished my own bookmark, I have ideas!
For this project, I used self stick felt I had left over from my halloween costume that I'm working on. It gives the backside a nice, soft feeling without giving the book mark too much thickness, and it sticks really well if you don't mess up the first time you try and put it on straight. My bookmark is red so I used black.
You could also try double sided tape, or a glue stick, and mount plain paper or construction paper onto the back. Or nonsticky felt or foam, those come in some nifty designs.
