ATLA Arrow of Badassery (new pic)

Post by rbaron »

Friends! You guys are muuuuch better at this than me (one day, I'll restart my Harry Potter Scar of Badassery)

My husband has requested (which he doesn't do very often) that I stitch this:

Can anyone make it not look like a bunch of blobs? I was thinking to try and make it ~40 cm, and 2 or 3 colors (because of the details)

Thanks!!

I got a pic with no background, so it should be easier. I'm still futzing around with it too.

Oooh I can see me giving this one a try. It'll take a bit, but bear with me and I'll see what I can do with it :D

So. I had this whole weekend off. Nothing to do. Well, there was plenty to do, but I didn't want to do any of it other than laundry and dinner. So I fiddled with this pattern. Taking it piece by piece was much less intimidating. What do you guys think? (it's really big lol)

Oh yeah, I remember this! I gave it a try a while ago but got annoyed with it because it wouldn't do what I wanted!
I like the one you've done, but its drawback is that it's very huge! All the details are there and the colours seem spot on though. Just depends if it's something you actually want to stitch!

I know!! IT'S SOOO BIG

But I've ordered some small count fabric, and I'm planning on tea-dying it....after some practice lol

My guy wants this one pretty bad, so I'm going to try :)
I think the trick is just to imagine each part as a separate thing, not one big 86,000 stitch piece. That's how I ended up doing the pattern.
