I know there are cross stitch patterns everywhere for the lil guys in 8bit Theatre, what I need is a background suggestion. My friend wants a picture of the light warriors (in their first outfits) about the size of a larger envelope (you know the manila ones). She told me the background is up to me and technically I could leave it blank but that'd be a little boring wouldn't it?
For the life of me I can't think of a good background though. Can anyone give me suggestions? I'm sure this thread will progress into me needing help crafting a pattern so I hope this thread goes here.
Also: If I want to make the sprite figures bigger in the image then you usually find their patterns, would I blow them up as I put them into the pattern maker or would I blow them in an art program before putting them in the pattern maker?

I have no idea what 8bit theater is, so I cant suggest a background.
but for blowing up sprites I'd do it in a graphics program...You'll want to be careful about how you increase the image size. if you are working in photoshop make sure you choose the option "nearest neighbor" for resample image when changing the size.
also youll probably want to increase the size in multiples of 4 (or double the width, double the height), so that each square pixel can become a 2x2 square pixel, or a 4x4 square pixel...otherwise the pattern will look weird.

My Final Fantasy Stitch A Long submission was inspired from 8-bit Theater. Tho I'm not sure what background to use for you cuz all I used a light blue canvas and just left it as that.
