Avengers Pattern Request

Post by jmmeacoe »

Hi all.

I would love the following picture made into a cross stitch pattern. It will be for my little boy's room.
I don't care how many colours and a medium size would be awesome. It's pretty blocky when it comes to it so I'm happy with simple or not so simple.

I've attached the picture to my post. Feel free to have me stitch the background colours too.

Thanks a bunch. If I missed anything, please let me know.

Thanks

Ooo that looks cool, hope someone can help you out soon!

Perhaps adding the number of colours you'd like to use, count of aida, and what you mean by medium size? Is that like an A4 type of size or perhaps bigger?

Thank you.

I would like to use 14 count Aida cloth and It can be as big as 12" by 24"
I seriously don't care how many colours. I'd say between 15 and 25 sounds right. It's a pretty blocky picture so I don't think I need more than say 2 or three for each character.

Thanks again in advance. I would also love a pdf copy so that I can print it off to work from a hard copy.

I am not an expert at making patterns, but I just tried this in KG Chart, and it looks bad. I resized it to be what you asked for, and the size just doesn't work. It looked terrible for me, and even when I tried again and left it at the original dimensions given by KG Chart, it was bad. The slight color distortions in the original picture make KG Chart do some pretty nasty shading that doens't work. If we remove the background colors, it kind of kills the whole thing since they are part of the Avengers themselves. I will try cleaning up the img to make the background colors 1 solid color in each block to see if that helps. I will come back with my findings after doing that.

Thank you so much for trying. I had problems trying a free pattern maker online as it wanted Captain America to be purple and brown and Thor's hammer was anything but the two shades of blue I thought that it would be. Solid is great. I don't need any shading as I actually think it takes away from the style personally.

I was wondering is there any way of making the colours darker for Thor, Captain America and The Hulk? Or does the colour choices in the pattern look darker when made?

Thanks in advance.

You can use whatever colors you want when actually stitching. I usually argue with my patterns over what I think are the right colors, end up buying different colors than I'm told, and just adjust as I'm going along. Although, at least on my screen, I think the colors look pretty good, except I might switch the colors on Thor's
