Hi,
I am new to this site but love what I see. I have a son with some chronic health problems that loves video games. I want to make him a block afghan with the following six characters--Jack Skellington, Mario, Link, Chaos, Sonic, and Mew. These characters have special meaning to him. I know how to crochet and how to cross stitch but I have never attempted anything like this. I would love any guidance and any patterns that you might have. I am visualizing making six squares of single crochet with a character on each square then joining the squares together. Also I have a mac computer and I believe that both of the programs mentioned in this forum are for pcs. Is there anything out there for a mac?

If you google it there is macstitch as well as stitches that are for mac. I only have the free trials since I mostly just use it for colors but I like the colors from stitches better, but macstitch seems to have more features. Hope that helps.
