This was a fun challenge! I'm still not done, but definitely made way more progress than I have previously. I'm eager to keep working on it and share with all of you!

Wow this was super motivating! I cheated a little and reserved French knots for yesterday haha. But it is finally finished! I really love seeing everyone's progress!!

OK I got a (admittedly terrible) pic of my UFO...and realised that there's no real progress on it!
I started stitching and was doing well, then it dawned on me that the whole bottom line was in the wrong place (and apparently had been wrong since whatever year it was I last worked on it!) - I'd lined up the A with the wrong E!
So I had to unpick ALL THE PROGRESS! And I restarted the line in the right place...only for me to get as far as the letters I'd done originally!

Still, I'm determined to finish this one soon!

Hi everyone! I finally finished the cross stitches on beauty and the beast!
Lots of little details and thread today. Now to work on the backstitching and French knots.... so many French knots. Can't wait to share when it's all done.

I finally got some time to sit down and finish beauty and the beast. The french knots kept intimidating me, but I finally worked through them. After about 15 of them, it clicked on how to make them easier and more uniform (compared to the blobs of thread they usually became any time I worked on them before). 60 more afterwards, and now I'm more confident in doing french knots in the future. I'm really happy with how they came out and the piece as a whole. So glad to move it out of the WIP pile!
