I think either one is fine. I'm not sure how good I'd be with coming up with a design myself, though.

It's optional, really. You could even just piece together some sprites in an image editing program like Photoshop, GIMP or even MS Paint and let someone else can make you the pattern!BadgerSensei wrote:I'm not sure how good I'd be with coming up with a design myself, though.
I like band and square...can't really decide. If there was a way to mix them both, I'd be well happy!
I think I'll poll you guys quickly and take it from there.

This will be my first stitchalong and I'm excited! I vote a square one this time (though I'm going to go back through the band patterns from the last one and make my own sampler from my favorites) Bring on the stitching!

I agree with the results of the vote!

Re: Next Challenge - you decide!
OK so I've had a pretty stressful couple of weeks (just with stuff in my personal life) so I haven't been able to get to this until now. I'm just in the process of setting it all up and I wanted to check if everybody was happy to do the "submit a design" type thing again? (Don't worry if you don't know how to do it, just hit me up with an idea and I'll see if I can do it for you!)

I've never done this before, but i look forward to trying. Are there going to be patterns posted for people who don't create patterns to use?

Following out of interest. I love the game ads idea, and even though that challenge is over it gives me some great project ideas!

Sounds good to me, I love seeing the patterns everyone comes up with
Glad to have you aboard. There will be lots of patterns to choose from, what happens is that everyone makes up patterns and posts them and then you can choose from those or make your own. Previously there was also someone who would make patterns based on suggestions from other people, there is usually someone around who could help you out. You can also have a look through the previous SAL to see how it goes viewtopic.php?f=4&t=15565&hilit=SALBadgerSensei wrote:I've never done this before, but i look forward to trying.
