AUGUST Challenge - Bling!

I didn't think I was going to enter this one, with uni really picking up, but I did most of this while watching lecture recordings... so that's ok right?

Anyway, here is my entry!

I figured bling would be a perfect challenge to do some foil art, as it is sooo shiny already. I only had just enough light green for this one... my colour supply is dwindling. I thought I would slip it into a frame I had lying around, just to see how it looked, but unfortunately will not be its permanent home as that frame is reserved for my stich-a-long piece... still have not got around to framing it.

More Zelda, and more Rupees, I hope the repetition isn't boring anyone, and I don't mean to steal peoples thunder. The other entries look great btw.

Of course not! Rupees come to mind when you think of bling. And your project is totally different. It would be a shame if you didn't include your unique foil art in this challenge. Shiny foil is totally blingy! I love your project.

I know it's turning into a Zelda Bling Challenge , but Lord Libidan suggested I enter my NES Link holding the original Legend of Zelda cartridge cross stitch, and I checked w/ BMH and she said it was ok.

so here is my 2nd entry. Link holding the most Bling NES Cartridge ever.

I finished my blingy project.

I've wanted to stitch the Sprite Stitch logo for a while, so I figured, why not bling it out? The stitching is mostly light effects, and I added the beaded border. It makes me happy.

Here's my entry. It's turnips (a pink turnip, a turnip & a gold turnip) from Rune Factory 3 (Harvest Moon plus dungeon crawling rpg goodness - go play it now if you've never tired it). What's more bling then a golden turnip? To make the gold turnip I tweeded the appropriate in game colours for the gold turnip with dmc gold metallic floss! I think it turned out great and I love how it sparkles.
