LOVE LOVE LOVE your sprites LinkIsMyHomeboy!! They look AWESOME!! I can see them stitched in a circle around a fire or something chanting their "curses" upon us!

Well, thank you! I could probably make a pattern with them around a fire...SofaraStarfyre wrote:LOVE LOVE LOVE your sprites LinkIsMyHomeboy!! They look AWESOME!! I can see them stitched in a circle around a fire or something chanting their "curses" upon us!

Re: SEPT Challenge - Sprite Stitch Pantheon of Crafting Deities
Here is my (first ever!!!) challenge entry...
"You see, when a person crazed enough decides to try an Epic Pokemon pattern, Arceus descends from the sky to bless your needles and thread and say a small prayer for you to remain steady and true in the face of your seemingly unending challenge. Throughout your journey...He watches. Upon finishing your piece, Arceus descends again to bestow upon you the title of Pokemon Master, a title he has deemed that you truly deserve through watching you * your fingers, unpick your stitches, clean out coffee stains, and tirelessly attempting to un-knot your thread to little or no avail, only to come out the other side, changed and humbled for the experience and ready for your next adventure..."
It was kinda an obvious one for me, but I had to go there! I haven't re-done the sprite at all, I just had to whack in a background and fiddle with the back story! Arceus is now the Patron Saint for those attempting the Epic Pokemon Patterns. He was going to be in a Holy Trinity and be included with maybe Zelda and Toad that would have presided over the Mario Thru The Ages and the LoZ Stained Glass patterns, but I couldn't find sprites that would work for what I wanted. Re: SEPT Challenge - Sprite Stitch Pantheon of Crafting Deities
I'm working on mine at the moment!
I have 2 that I am designing:
The Goddess of Charity who looks over all of our weary crafters that work so hard for our charity quilts. She is the one that pushes some of us to make not one, not even two, but maybe even 5 patches in a single year!
The second is a mischievous Goddess, The Goddess of Indecisiveness... She is the one that makes you pick 10 new patterns that you must start before you have even finished the first one! She is the keep of all UFOs, stray pattern thoughts, and piles of printed patterns that may never be touched.
^_^ Will get some pictures soon, and hopefully some names too!

Thanks guys
That paragraph went through a few re-writes but I was pretty happy with that one! If anyone wants the pattern for whatever reason I'll post it up.

Re: SEPT Challenge - Sprite Stitch Pantheon of Crafting Deities
Here's my entry for this challenge: The Buddha of Stitching Zen!
He represents the time during stitching when you block everything else out and are completely focused on your work.
The sprite is all my own work, the background is from Sagat's stage in Street Fighter 2.
(Shading pixels is hard)
