Suggestions for Mini-May Challenge!!

Doesn't Sailor Moon deal mostly with the signs of the planets/sun and not the zodiac? Should there be a distinction made?

Well when you say "astrological signs" what exactly do you mean? In Okami you can use the Chinese zodiac. In Sailor Moon you can use the planet signs. What about God of War or Ragnarok? What are we limiting this too? I'm trying to come up with ideas and I want to make sure what I doing will count.

The planets are generally linked to the zodiac anyway, Libra is ruled by Venus, Leo by the Sun, etc etc

I originally said "star signs" - I was thinking along the lines of the signs used in the greek zodiac (Aries to Pisces) and I imagined that we'd choose a sign and do a game-based design around that sign. Having said that, I think other astrological representations would be good too, and if people want to do a Sailor Scout one or Okami or whatever, that would probably be ok as long as it had it's roots in a game, if you see what I mean

I really like the signs of the zodiac idea.

Maybe just limit it to the traditional 12 signs or the traditional plus the Chinese zodiac just for variety?

I think the more open-ended the better...give people room for creativity. we can probably skip the vote on this one...in the interest of time it seems that the zodiac/star/planet signs is the most popular idea.

looks like we've delayed enough into may to make it too short for a proper challenge. plus a lot of our most active challengers are finishing up their swaps.

It seems like this challenge idea is getting a lot of positive feedback, lets hold it off, and do an official vote in june.

Its looking to me like july will be the next one. we should take ideas though now and get it going. no reason it has to be only a july/aug challenge and not a 1/2 june/july/aug challenge.

do we have some options for the challenge which we can vote for? july is a good month =) (although i'm a bit biased as it's when my birthday is!) but a june/july/august challenge would give people plenty of time to get sorted out
