I came with a thought about EGM (Electr. games Mag). I remembered few of their April Fools. So, I came up an idea to "tribute" EGM because it no longer published. In fact, it is 10 years anniversary of that certain April Fools.

I have my friend working on my design and it should be donw by next Friday. Once it is done I will get working on the pattern. I hope 6 weeks will be enough to stitch it. I am going to do another thing with Zelda this month.

I wasn't planning on entering this month, but I've just realised that the pattern I'm working on for a friend's present fits in with this theme nicely. It's Zelda based and it is based on a picture from an old issue of EDGE I found. I won't post a picture until my friend's birthday has passed, which is in about a month.

meowgan - that wow link is funny, I was confused at first...

this post is moving slow so I thought I'd post a preview of my pattern that I will be working from.

I have an aversion to stitching large blocks, so I think I will likely try and get light blue fabric, and dye the sea dark blue, no idea how I'm going to do that...any advice??

anyone recognize where the "lure" is from...?

anyone else hiding secret patterns??

I decided to borrow my entry from my nintendo sampler that I haven't started yet. Mine is from River City Ransom and let's just say what happens at the health spa stays at the health spa. Never hurts to get a jump on the enemy with a surprise attack.

I only have the small pixel art since I am to lazy to make a real pattern, but apparently not to lazy to drag my laptop downstairs to work on it... weird I know...

@Johloh: Edge the bits you want to paint with masking tape, then paint your blue in with acrylic paint. Remove the tape when it's dry, the tape'll give it a neat egde. Do the dark blue first, then the light blue. You shouldn't need to add any water to the paint, just make sure you blow the paint out of all the little holes in your canvas.

I'm working on a pattern with Mario 2 sprites. Mario and Peach holding hands, with a serpent yelling at Toad to find and apple (trying to do an Adam and Eve scene). But all Toad can find are radishes, pumpkins, cherries...I may stitch it on a greyish t-shirt I have. I hope I'll be on time !

Anyway, still need to find some more black thread...
