I am all excited about this. I am working on one now. It will be my first video game cross stitch, my second cross stitch ever, my first time making my own pattern and my first time submitting anything to this board I have been stalking for a while.
Oh yeah, and my first time working on black aida... well you get the idea.

Re: OCT Challenge - Zodiac
Funny this topic came up for a challenge...
I've made 2 zodiac keychains as gifts over the last year. The first one is the only project that I never took a pic of before giving it away, if I can snap a pic of it I'll append it to this post. It was a scorpion sprite from Dragon Quest for the SNES, to signify Scorpio, and of course colored topaz.
The second one was this: I did this Gemini keychain in emerald for my mother this spring.
Of course, I don't want these entered in this month's challenge. They were projects created prior to and unrelated to the challenge, I just thought it was neat that this topic came up and I wanted to share my handiwork!

Re: OCT Challenge - Zodiac
This is my first challenge and I am extremely nervous that it will pale in comparison to everyone else's work! However I did find a cute pattern to stitch. Does it have to be strictly zodiac or can it be cartoonish? Thanks! I don't want to give away what I'm doing and I'm really excited to start!

It can be in whatever style you like as long as it fits in with the zodiac theme!sawyerssnowflake wrote:Does it have to be strictly zodiac or can it be cartoonish?
And don't be nervous, I'm sure everyone here will enjoy looking at your work

Please do enter - our monthly challenges are about having fun with the theme and appreciating each other's personal interpretations. The competitive aspect is minuscule compared to the community angle.sawyerssnowflake wrote:This is my first challenge and I am extremely nervous that it will pale in comparison to everyone else's work!
