Chrono Cross xstich

Hey everyone, love this site and all your work, and thought I would post a Chrono Cross cross stitch work I finished last year. It's 22 count, somewhere in the realm of 200x200 stitches. I was unhappy with the colours (used around 90), so I'm currently working on a similar image at 160 colors. I hope to be able to show you that when it's finished.

Man, I wish I had that kind of patience! And to think you're gonna do it AGAIN, with more colors! Nice work!

What did you use to make that pattern? I'm always interested in the different ways people translate images. :)

Thanks everyone, I appreciate the comments very much.

I use the Stoik xstitch software demo, which seems to have served me quite well over several projects (and free fits my budget quite well).

My current project will not be the same picture, but it will continue the Chrono theme. I can't remember where I got the photo from (strategy guide, art book, somewhere like that, though not directly from the game), but below is where I am now plus the original pic. As I've mentioned, it uses 160 colours, will be 230x173 stitches on 22 count.

I think the next project I will tackle after this will not be quite so massive, these 3+ month projects will be the death of me!

The first one looks amazing, although I must say I'm not as much a fan of Cross as I am Trigger. I can't believe the amount of colors though, wow! Especially the next one (which looks great so far) You must have a lot of patience. How many strands do you use for 22 ct? I've been thinking of stitching on it but I don't want to mess up my first time (like when I used all six strands on 14 count >_<)

That's great, because I was thinking of making my next project a Trigger screenshot. I use 1 strand for 22 count (folded over for 2 strand total). This makes it very tight overall, and with that many colours scattered around does tend to make it quite difficult as it progresses. Funny thing is, I wanted to do a smaller stitch count, but I was afraid I'd mess that up! Mistakes are easier to mask on 22 count.

Oops, my bad, I thought you were gonna redo the same image!
Nice job so far on the second image too. The roots and things are really interesting.
Yeah, I'm doing two big projects right now and am definitely going to take a break and go back to little stuff after these. They're a lot of work.

Well played, Clerks. I'm always impressed by massive, detailed hand-crafted works.
