well just wait and see is all that i can say at the momentblackmageheart wrote:Try using a plain coloured mount in your frame - something that matches a colour in the picture, ie Chun Li's blue dress or the green bangle - that might set it off differently.Holder of Anime wrote:just all the colours are a bit grey i think. they just dont come out of the frame like another picture im doing *cough cough*
Very nice stitching though, love Pocket Fighter! Do you plan to do anyone else from the series? Morrigan would be cute

Oh wow that's super near.
I have searched everywhere for supply stores and there's not one nearby I can find. The only places are john lewis and the haberdashery stores around central/rest of london.
I just buy all my threads and equip online, so so much cheaper!

yeah sounds about right for threads an such. Just thought id ask cos sometimes a shop could be there for years and youll never know cos its in some random back street.
what online store do you use cos im working on something much bigger than chun li and the cheapest im getting threads right now is 73p each.
orderd stuff online once and it took forever so just went back to getting them from stores in london.

Re: WIP: Epic Pocket Fighter Stitch.
Well I haven't bought any 'project specific' colours in ages. I just have loads of colours from this bulk 150 threads (unknown brand) from Argos for £14.99. I just use whatever nearest shade is in the bulk if I want to do a project. There's two of each colour and plenty of shades. Pretty good quality too, and it means I don't have to spend THAT much more on additional shades from John Lewis.
BUT
http://www.across-town-stitching.talktalk.net/offer.htm - I believe they do the cheapest online. 50 anchor threads of your choice for £16 or something. Obviously, if you need less than that for just one project it's not ideal... but its good to take advantage of the offer so I'd start looking at some future projects maybe and just stock up on the colours you'll need for those too! You could go on eBay and find the same thing but maybe more expensive, you probably know that already!
Hope that helps

Re: WIP: Epic Pocket Fighter Stitch.
Ugh we got the bulk colours from Argos once-they tangled up so quickly I don't think we'll use them again.
We found a site which sells DMC for 53p each but not sure how reliable it is. So far I've been getting them from a little shop near my uni but term ends in a month and as it's 2 hours away I doubt I'll go there much.
