Megaman vs Cutman

I only just found sprite stitch a couple of days ago, I had no idea there were so many people out there doing this.
Here's one I did a few months ago.

I have a few more which I'll post up later but this is my best work to date, it's approx 9x7 inches and took a couple of months on and off after work.
Doing the grey almost drove me insane!
p.s. My avatar is made up of 3 longstitch pieces cut out and animated in image ready.

That's great! What kind of stitch is it? It doesn't look like a regular cross stitch. I like your avatar, too. I've never even heard of longstitch before...

This is long stitch, mine was just more uniform so as to adhere to the pixelated style.

I really like the long stitch aspect. You can get a bit bored of xs, so mixin it up with long would be fun to do. i would definitely like to see more of your work.

Wow! That is awesome! I love the colors.

It would be fun to try ^_^

And if it is regular thread on canvas, not plastic, how many strands of floss? It seems like you'd need a lot to be able to cover the space between the holes in aida, unless it's very high count.
I agree with everyone else, this looks fun to try. I've been reading up on different embroidery techniques lately. I really need to carve out time every day to work on my crafting hobbies.

here's a pic of the wip.

it's all 6 strands over canvas I don't know what the count is, I cant remember.
I've only just recently found out about stripping threads, I had a terrible time trying to cross stitch using all 6 and quickly gave up so settled for the long stitch.
I'm now working on another mega man one but this time in cross stitch, it's gonna take a while, 210x190 px, I'll be posting up my progress block by block as I go.
