Charity Square Xenoblade Chronicles

Post by QueenBex »

My pattern making program is messing up, can someone help me make a pattern for my charity square please?

It's 96x96 stitches and the picture is 96x96 pixels, so straight forward enough. 16 count aida.

Any help with the colours would be appreciated too.

Blah, I took at stab at it but I am also having trouble. But I did find a picture with a higher resolution which definitely improved my results. I just wanted to leave the link here for anyone else that may be attempting to work on this pattern

I think the problem is that seems to have very few of the colors in this range. COMOS looks better to me but who has that!?!

I tried this in KG Chart, and it looks HORRIBLE!! All the darkness was making it not come through very well and of course KG Chart is notorious for making thing way darker than it should anyway, so that made it even worse. Maybe some one with PC Stitch could try this and see if they can do something better.

I completely forgot about using PC Stitch. I put the original image and an alternate one into PC Stitch. The colour variation is a lot better. If you like one of them then I can re-do in KG-chart sometime tomorrow so that I could actually print the pattern.

Alternate (it's just a cropped photo from the higher resolution pic. It could easily be changed)

Those look much better Lalina, I prefer the first picture. Though I wonder if it's still a little dark, or could that be my bad colour eye?

I haven't looked at the pattern, so I can't say for sure, but I know PC Stitch will show the colors different than what the threads actually look like. I've learned I have to look at the threads to know 100% sure if the colors are right.

Hmm then I think I will bow out at this point. All I did was upload the original image in PC Stitch to get that image. Maybe someone with the full version of PC Stitch and a bunch of threads could look at it?

The more I stitch this, the more unhappy I am. It's way too dark and I'm not keen on how the picture is looking anyway.

I think i shall try and find a lighter picture...

Upsetting because of the wasted work. And for wasting your time, sorry :(
