Video game inspired bags and cases!

Hey again, everyone.

I'd like to show off some of the items that I've made over the last few weeks. They both took a long time to make, but I think the end result came out really great. They were both made with yarn and perler beads; I didn't know which forum to places these in since it's mixed media.

Anyway, here are some pictures!

That's a neat idea! How did you get the perlers to stick to your yarn?

I had a hard time with that. Most of the velcro I've used are industrial strength-- these are meants to have the sprites be interchangeable.

However, I haven't found a reliable way to do that quite yet. These are just mounted on with a magnetic strip to the back of them for a base, then super glued directly onto the fabric.

This stuff is awesome for bonding fabric and bonding things to fabric. I'm not sure how well it would bond to the perler side for sure, but it does bond pretty well to everything I've used it on.

I use it to make crochet hats and clips and things. So it has worked beautifully at gluing buttons and beads and things onto yarn.

It smells awful though, lol >.>
