hi

being new to this place, i thought i'd share some little things i've been experimenting with. i got a new seed bead loom and realised i could use then to make 8-bit style jewellery.

pac man :pac :blinky and space invaders.

i'm thinking of branching out into pokemon :pika and other video game sprites. would love any and all suggestions and advice on new designs :read:

Holy cow, I was going to go buy a loom and some beads and try my luck after my last class today, but I chickened out after I realized I didn't know anything about seed beads, like if you can even do this sort of thing with them. It appears that it's possible. Thank you for enlightening me in such a timely manner!

And those are awesome! Have you done this before?

Thanks for the appreciation guys! :yahoo: These two are the 3rd and 4th items i have ever made using a bead loom.

I figured that designing patterns would be not much different to designing for cross-stitch items.

The bigger trouble is that the patterns have to be quite small as a bead loom is not that big.

Where you can do 100x100 squares using a cross stitch, a bead loom limits me to something like 12 x 12 squares maximum... :banghead:

just in time for valentine's day, i made this to go around a candle for decoration for valentine's day, based on gamer hearts - turned out a lot better than i thought....
