unit origami super mario

...yeah, well... so much for that. unable to think of a xstitch side project, i got back into unit origami. the piece is the same as the one used in my goomba i posted several months ago (tomoko fuse's 'hydrangea' from her book 'origami quilts'), but i finished the folds in the center.

this time around i used smaller paper, which made it easier to amass sufficient amounts of each required color, and this sprite has 48 fewer pixels than the goomba. in the end, it took about 30 hours worth of folding and assembling.

i'm not terribly sure... i had the goomba framed, so i guess mario could get the same treatment

Holy cow that's a lot of work. Totally worth it tho it looks amazing :D
