Sprite Stitch Board!

Hey guys! Just finished up another project. It's a painting of Luso, Adelle, Hurdy, and Montblanc from Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift, all riding a chocobo. (Kweh! )
This piece is based on the image from the cover of the original soundtrack for the game. I used Winsor & Newton colored inks on bristol board. I was having a SLIGHT issue with the bristol buckling, but I think it came out alright in the end. (The frame helps flatten it out a bit.)
I was very pleased with the bright colors the inks offered. They lay down like water colors, but seem much more vibrant. I'll have to use them again!

Seriously good work! I know what you mean about the inks, I've used them myself and the colours are so vibrant.

Any plans for other paintings?

Thanks! I'm not sure what my next painting will be. Any suggestions? (I'm thinking something Zelda related, perhaps?)

Very cool! If you're thinking about a Zelda painting, I think Windwaker's artwork is beautiful IMHO. Glad to see another Sprite Stitcher on Etsy, if it's okay with Johloh I might make an Etsy team for all of us on there.

Maybe one of those stained glass Wind Waker images? That'd lend itself well to those inks, I think. And an Etsy SpriteStitch team would be awesome! (I favorite'd your shop. -_^)

Yeah, something Zelda would be lovely! purcell's right - Wind Waker's art is beautiful - and would definitely lend itself well to these inks. The colours in the game are so vivid and it's sometimes hard to reproduce them with acrylics or watercolours.

That's something I've been thinking about myself, since I want to start up my own Etsy shop (but it has to wait until my charity squares are done, lol). I think an Etsy Team would be a great idea, I just don't know how to go about setting one up
