Yes, it is king size. This took me almost a year to make and I think it was worth it. I loved to design and create this quilt.

I decided to sell it so listed it on my etsy shop at http://www.etsy.com/listing/71036317/ki ... rest-quilt.

Nice! Did you freehand the quilting on the pale blue?

Al of the quilting was done with Stipling in matching colors to the top quilt. You can see all of the stipling in detail on the back. None of it was stitch in the ditch.

Very nice. That's the type of thing that really can take forever! I can't believe you'd want to sell it after so much work!

It's what I do. I make quilts for commissions and when I have time between them I create quilts I haven't seen before and sell them. I have 8 sitting around my house that are just taking up space and I don't even have a king size bed. It is a way to feed my addiction to create and make. The money I get from the quilts lets me buy bigger and better machines and fabric for the next one.

I finished my Horde quilt as a counterpart to the Alliance. I wasn't crazy enough to do another King Size, so I just made this one a lap. It took almost as long for the top, but sandwiching and quilting took a lot less time.

I don't know if I told everyone here about my new facebook page. If you want to follow all of the quilts I do that fan me. http://www.facebook.com/quiltoni

You = made of epic win. Those are some seriously awesome quilts. I liked your FB page, I definitely want to keep up with what you're going to do next!

Just out of curiosity, what do you charge for a double size quilt? I would love to have a raccoon Mario quilt, but I can't sew or quilt to save my life. I know I probably can't afford it, but at least if I know maybe I can start saving up!

Wow!! Very cool! This makes me want to start quilting again!! Maybe when I'm not in school and working a full time job I can do all the crafts I want to :)

Normally for a double I charge $180-$240 depending on the pattern. Most people get a lap sized quilt to throw on couches or lounge around in. Those would be $90-$130 depending on the pattern.

And spinuntilyoufall, I work full time and go to graduate school full time. ;) This is what I do with all of my spare time. I love it and it relaxes me.

You're freaking amazing!! :yahoo:

I definitely agree with you - I don't know what I would do without my cross stitch to sit down to in the evening, my biggest problem is that I see everyone's super cool other types of crafts, like quilting and origami and embroidery, and I want to do all of those, too... all at the same time  I need 72 hours in a day. Then I could fit in all the things I want to do.... maybe.
